As the supreme authority on security risks, the Indonesian central government responded to the Covid-19 outbreak through legislation, institutionalization, and financial priorities. Since Indonesia disclosed its first two cases, the government has adopted numerous regulations, established a task force, and mobilized social support packages for the community. As the pandemic threat intensifies, it poses a threat to human security, necessitating the government's prompt and proper reaction. This approach necessitates extensive documentation to understand the dynamics of pandemic security and institutionalization. If extensive documentation is coupled with the daily increase in cases, it can also be an evaluation tool for managing the pandemic. This response can be classified into two categories: national and local government. The information will document the national, DKI Jakarta's, and West Java's government's response and media statements to the Covid-19 pandemic from March 2020 to March 2021. The central government, the DKI Jakarta local government, and the West Java local government all contributed to producing the Covid-19 response and media statements dataset. The scope of the study is determined by the central government as the primary policymaker, the provincial government of DKI Jakarta as the administrative capital, and the provincial government of West Java as the province with the largest population in Indonesia and in the second-highest number of Covid-19 cases after Jakarta. This aims to condense the country of Indonesia, which comprises numerous provinces and cities, to provide a broader dataset, enabling to analyse the dynamics of the national-local response. The dataset is in Bahasa Indonesia. (2022-04-05)
