Rocky shore: organisms and their adaptations. There are various types of shores in the coastal environment, one of them is a rocky shore. Rocky shore ecosystem is a unique ecosystem due to the diversity of living organisms. Organisms living on rocky shore have many ways to survive or adapt in the extreme conditions, such as water loss, thermal equilibrium, mechanical stress, or salinity stress. Many organisms can survive in the extreme condition, through their morphological adaptations, reproduction system or their feeding habits. This article describes how those organisms make their own adaptations in the rocky shore environment.
